DREAM TIME

WHEN the quiet breath of evening

stills the day and calms the heart,

A lunar kiss may touch the world

As sunlight's blushing rays depart.

Creatures of this velvet scene

Now play in shadows deepening pace.

As daytime hunters ease their quest

And grateful, our endeavour's cease.

Dreams can challange waking thoughts

And what may seem like hopeful mist

May now be real for just awhile

Till life has awakened, morning kissed.

This enchanting world is fleeting,

Hold it closely to your heart,

To bighten soft the hours of sleeping,

Till the daylight hours depart.
